The Windows Sidebar section is a new feature to Windows Vista. The Sidebar is a panel for Desktop Gadgets that is anchored to the side of the Windows Vista desktop, users can add gadgets from gallery.live.com which were made by other users.
Here is a list of all the available gadgets on vista;
Firstly to get the Feeds Headline gadget opened into your sidebar you must right click on the sidebar and click 'add gadgets'. From here you will be able to see the Feeds Headline gadget which you just click on the add it.
When the Feeds Headline gagdet is opened into your sidebar you can select which feeds you want to display and the number of feeds you want to display. Simply hover over the Feeds Headline gadget and three icons will show up to the right of it, click on the edit one which should be in the middle. In here you can edit your feeds.
To add or delete feeds from your machine you must use your Internet Explorer browser (doesn't work in firefox, opera etc). Go to yellow star in the top left hand corner, this is your favorites centre where you can edit and delete feeds.
But to add a new feed you must go to the website you want the feed from and find the subscribe to feed area, this will generally be in the menu area. Once again you will need to use IE to subscribe to the feed you want.
After you have subsribed to the feed of your chose go back to the Feeds Headline edit area where you simply select to new feed and it will show up in your Feeds Headline gadget.
